Our summer flower CSA opens now!
After a much-needed time to regroup and recharge, we have entered a hopeful period of planning and preparation for the season ahead. January is always filled with lots of day-dreaming about warmer days, anticipation for the beauty that is to come, and a healthy stream of lattes as we strategize for the season that will be. This year is no different.
Our 2025 Summer Flower CSA opens NOW!
After hours of pouring over seed catalogs, orders have been placed (and have arrived), and I can hardly wait to start planting the many new varieties we are incorporating into our program this year with such fun names as Zinderella Peach Zinnias, Shimmer Celosia, and Hot Biscuits Amaranth to name a few. New this year, in addition to the 62 other varieties of flowers we’ll be growing, we’ll be including lilies in our summer bouquets. A first on our farm that we are so excited about.
We will be offering three flower CSAs this season - our Spring Flower CSA (sold out!), our Summer Flower CSA, and our Fall Dahlia CSA (opening July 2025). The Summer Flower CSA will run for eight weeks in the months of July and August with pick up options in Cedaredge on Wednesday evenings and in Palisade on Sundays at farmers market (more about this below). Limited shares are available.
Also worth noting is that new this year we are offering benefits unique to our CSA members. We love and appreciate our CSA folks and want to make sure you know it! After years of folks inquiring about farm tours, we have decided to open our farm to our CSA members for a tour this September (date TBD). We look forward to sharing our small farm with our beloved CSA members and answering questions on our processes and operation. We’ll also be offering discounts on all Ultreia workshops, a dahlia tuber pre-sale, and a special “flower power” newsletter for our CSA members. For our ninth year running, we are excited to be “community-powered” and grateful for the opportunity to be your CSA farmers. 2025 promises to be another brilliant and colorful season, and we look forward to sharing in the abundance with you.
