Exploring the Ancient Art & Science of Fermentation: making fermented salsa

In this hands-on workshop, we will create one quart of fermented salsa using ingredients from our farm. Taught by Registered Dietitian Melissa Newell, this workshop will offer an exploration of the science behind lactofermentation and the artistry of creating according to one’s tastes preferences.

  • Use of The Kitchen commissary space 

  • Organic veggies from Ultreia Farm & Wellness

  • Home fermentation supplies 

Materials To Bring:

  • Large mixing bowl

  • Chef knife (for cutting vegetables)

  • Small cutting board, if you have one

  • Quart-sized mason jar
